Barb and I have been into racing since the early 60s including Formula1 at Mosport. We have been corner workers at the Phoenix and Montreal F1 races. If you thought the safety worker in the centre of the hairpin at Montreal (97) had a great view, he did, it was me. Truly awesome! We involve ourselves in all forms of four wheel racing: F1, CART, SCCA, USSR, PSCR and even Karts. We also volunteer as corner workers for motorcycles as well. We are at races 58 - 84 event days per year.
Our volunteering as marshals takes to many places and tracks across the United States and Canada. We live in Windsor, Ontario Canada which is just a short distance from many race tracks. I may assume the title of grandfather of the group but I can still beat most 23 yr. olds to a race car in difficulty.
Barb is a retired Kindergarten teacher who quilts for a hobby. She has won prizes from the local and national organizations. Barb hand quilts fabric into large bed-size quilts as I drive our mini-motorhome from track to track. I am a retired Chief Superintendent of Schools or Director of Education for a system with elementary and secondary schools. Our careers have taken us to many places in Ontario and Nigeria. We have a son who is an aircraft mechanic in Basel, Switzerland and a daughter who is a general manager in a automotive PR firm in Toronto.
Beyond racing we do have hobbies. I enjoy computers. I ahve seen the error of my ways
and am leaving the MAC world for a PII - 266
