Hi All.

Thank you all for welcoming me to your F1 list. I must apologies for the
tardy reply because work keeps getting in the way. I'm feeling a little like
Santa's Elves in that I'm doing an awful lot of work and Santa gets all the
credit...

Harald Freise - I know you think it isn't spelled right but it is, really.

hfreise@fox.nstn.ca

> >Nationality & Location

Canadian. Ottawa, Ontario Canada - home of Canajun political hot air, way
too much winter road salt and Hooker's Beaver Tails.

> >Competitior or Former Competitor

Former competitor - bikes & cars. Famous for making a Cooper narrower during
the winter rally season and tearing exhaust systems off Healey 3000's. Inert
since mid seventies ( a condition, as a result of, too much work and way too
high insurance premiums).

> >Worker - Motor Club and type of work at meetings

Worker - slave to the computer trade. Motor Club - By default, newsletter
editor for the Eastern Canada Lotus Club (no one else wanted the job). I
have written bunch of small tech articles for various automotive
publications, covered the '97 GT1 series (as best as I could) and the 95 GP
race in Montreal.

I'm a plain unadulterated gear head. If its got an engine and wheels, I'm
interested. Well, on second thought maybe not if it's a Wartburg.

I've been stuck on F1 since being taken to an F1 at Tremblant, PQ ( I know;
I'm dating myself). I've never been the same since. Unfortunately, I have
never have been much for stats or car details; not that I remember much of
the late sixties/seventies, either. The drivers from the 50's have
interested me the most and I am a disciple of Chapman and Lotus. I am not
enamoured with the present day prats and prima donnas that populate the
business of (well, it's not much of a sport anymore) Formula One.

Don't worry... I'll keep my bigoted opinions to myself and mostly lurk on
the list.
