Hi All,
Me again, I'm trying to get some of my New years Resolution completed.
I grew up in New Jersey (south)about 1 hour SWest of Atlantic City. Married
my High School Sweetheart, lasted 11 yrs.. She tossed out all my Road &
Tracks. I had every issue from 1964 to 1977, after I loss that set I stopped
collecting them.
I have loved Formula One since 1964 when I would get some info on it 3
months late but still enjoyed the reading. I'm a car nut, my first car was a
1963 VW-Bug, worked at Burger Chef home of the 15 cent hamburger after
school my senior year making $42.50 a week to pay for it. Other cars of
interest are:
1958 Ford T-Bird, 1963 Jaguar XKE convertible gold-head, bought it for
$1,100 and sold it 3 years later for $4,400 in 1977-1980, 1971 XJ6 4 door
1975-1979, 3 Dune Buggies, 2 Kit Cars, 1968 Nova SS this was my M-Car.
Headman headers, Hi-Jackers, 3/4 race cam etc. All in All I've had 18 cars.
My current car is a 1997 Grand Prix GT, which I purchased through Autobytel.
I've been to Wakins Glen (before they closed it)and Canada F1 twice,
I have a Dish so I get all the races via Speedvision. We also have a local
pub, Damon's they show all the races live. So, a few friends and I meet
there for breakfast and a race. If you can get Speedvision go for it, the
touring car racing is just great too. I loved Mario's black Lotus , one of
the best looking cars of all time. My favorite Driver is Prost the
professor. I'm trying to get to Spain this year, then every other year a
European F1 race. There I've done one more of my New Years Resolutions. I'm
looking forward to the new season, if I don't make it to Spain, I hope to go
to Canada again.
